FC Barcelona coach Hansi Flick said at his post-match press conference that it was not worth responding to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez's comments.

During the post-match press conference for Alaves vs. Barcelona, the coach of the Blaugrana team, Hansi Flick, addressed various topics related to the match until a journalist asked him about the statements made by the president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, on Tuesday, May 12. Flick only replied: “It is not worth answering.”

Let us remember that on Tuesday, Florentino called a press conference, and in it, he was more candid than he has been a few times as merengue president. Among all the topics addressed, which include historic stone-throwing at newspapers and journalists, was also the Negreira case, where he mentions that for 20 years, Barcelona has been colluding with the referees, mentioning that he could have won 14 leagues, but they were stolen from him.

“I have been here, I do not know how many seasons, and I have only won seven European Cups and seven Leagues, which could have been 14 because they have been stolen from me. We have made a video of the 18 points that have been taken from us this season,” Florentino stated.

Flick was very direct with his response; he will not take the time to reply to the president of Real Madrid, so he limited himself to answering questions related to Barcelona’s defeat over Alaves, a defeat that, by the way, ends the team’s dream of being able to reach 100 points this season, however, he understands the context with the league already won, so he does not take it so badly.

“Today I saw the team motivated, they did good things. I gave minutes to those who had played less: Bernal, Espart… In the first half, we controlled the match, but they are fighting to stay in the top division… We tried to control the game, but during the attack, we were not like we were at other times. We wanted to win, but it was not possible. We will not achieve the 100-point league,” Flick said.

“I am disappointed with the result, but we have to accept it. They are playing to stay in LaLiga. It was difficult for us. We need to be more focused. I highlight how the young players played. There are two matches left, and we want to win them,” he concluded.
