The wife of Barcelona forward Karim Adeyemi apparently took a jab at Yan Diomande and Real Madrid in the blaugrana player's latest Instagram post, citing "140 million," the fee the merengue club paid for the Ivorian, who, unlike Adeyemi, has yet to deliver on the pitch.

Recently, a comment by Barcelona player Karim Adeyemi's wife has gone viral. It is Loredana Adeyemi, who, in the last Instagram post by the German forward, who had an excellent match against Levante on Sunday, commented: "140 MILLION." Some people claim that it is a direct jab at Yan Diomande, since that is the exact figure Real Madrid paid for him.

Adeyemi arrived in Barcelona with little fanfare, in the final days of the summer market, for a fee that could be considered low, given his career at Borussia Dortmund (a team that reached the Champions League final in 2024). The Catalan team had to pay 20 million euros to acquire his services.

That is why, if we compare it with Diomande's arrival at Real Madrid, which was accompanied by a drama that involved the Merengue board, with Florentino Perez announcing that they would "offer 150 million euros for a Champions League attacker," although in the end it turned out to be Julian Alvarez, but Atletico de Madrid flatly refused to sell him, so they activated the "secret plan" and went to RB Leipzig to make an offer for the Ivorian.

Paris Saint-Germain was also involved in this operation, as it wanted to acquire the player as well. Even Fabrizio Romano himself published his now-iconic "here we go," but the German team instantly came out to deny it, mentioning that there was still no official agreement with the Chamartin team.

However, despite the difference between the two signings, whether because of media relevance or because of the figure involved in the transfer, the reality is that Adeyemi is having an excellent start to the season with Barcelona. His role as a spark off the bench in the last minutes is not stopping him from scoring goals, registering 3 goals and one assist so far in all competitions.

For his part, Diomande has flashes of quality but has not yet been able to participate in a single Real Madrid goal, and, in fact, in his last start against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, when he was substituted to bring on Arda Guler, the Turk was the one who really changed the face of the team, which already looked tired and without clear ideas to control the match. That is why fans are now calling for Guler to start, leaving aside Diomande, who seems to be affected by having become the most expensive signing in the white club's history.
