Bayern completed a stunning comeback, capped off by Lennart Karl, who, in the heat of the victory, did not hesitate to offer a few words aimed at their next opponent, Real Madrid.

Bayern secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over Freiburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday, coming back in the final stages of the match after trailing 2-0 with less than 20 minutes remaining.

Thomas Bischof scored an impressive long-range goal in the 81st minute and equalized in the 92nd, before the drama reached its peak in the 99th minute, when Karl tapped in a low cross from Alphonso Davies to seal the win.

This thrilling victory comes just days before Bayern face Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinals on Tuesday, giving them a huge confidence boost ahead of the European clash.

With the visit to the Santiago Bernabeu looming, Karl believes the character shown in the Freiburg win has provided the perfect psychological boost. Confidence within the squad is sky high as they prepare to face the current European champions in the first leg of the quarterfinals.

Speaking about the atmosphere in the locker room, Karl said: "We talked about it in the locker room. It gives us a lot of confidence in ourselves. It has been very important. Right now, we feel unbeatable."

Although the match was far from perfect, coach Vincent Kompany did not hesitate to praise the fighting spirit his players showed. The Belgian coach noted that while he was very satisfied with the three points, he recognized that Freiburg had made things very difficult for the visitors with their aggressive pressing and the support of their home crowd.

Kompany argued that winning in such a dramatic fashion is often more valuable for team spirit than a comfortable victory. "You can't win every match 3-0 or 4-0 with luxury football. You have to experience these kinds of emotions over the course of a season," said the 39-year-old coach in his post-match press conference.

For Karl, the winning goal was a moment he had been dreaming of. After stepping up when the veteran stars failed to break the deadlock, the young player has now become a strong candidate for a starting spot.

"I'm delighted. It's an incredible feeling. I always had in mind to score the winning goal in the final stages and rip off my shirt. Luckily, it worked out; it's an incredible feeling. I had a hunch that I would score today. It happened, and it was perfect," Karl said while recalling his feat.
