Endrick was benched as Brazil drew Morocco 1-1 in the World Cup. Carlo Ancelotti refuses to explain the forward's absence.

The 2026 World Cup began last Thursday, June 11, and the Real Madrid players who were able to participate are totally excited, or at least those who have been able to start.

On Saturday, Brazil faced Morocco (1-1) in a very intense match that ended in a tie, where the Moroccans imposed themselves slightly more than the Brazilian national team.

Although the Moroccans scored first in the first half, they did not know how to respond to the pressure exerted by the rival after Vinicius Jr.'s equalizing goal.

However, someone who was watching the match from the bench, totally devastated, was Real Madrid forward Endrick.

The current coach of the Brazilian national team, Carlo Ancelotti, decided not to include the young player in the starting lineup, a decision that caught fans' attention and once again raises the question of why the Italian simply does not seem fully convinced by Endrick.

Despite having been a key player in the last friendly match, scoring the winning goal, it now seems that Ancelotti has taken the reins in a different direction.

On social media, a video has begun to circulate showing Endrick learning that he would not get minutes in Brazil's first match, where he looks quite downcast.

But Ancelotti's decision seems more tactical than anything else, as he chose to select Igor Thiago, a forward with characteristics closer to a No. 9.

Speaking after the match, Ancelotti appeared visibly serious, saying he did not like his team's performance at all and bluntly admitting they must improve, although he accepts that a World Cup is not won on the first day.

The coach also accepted that things were tight and nervous in the first half, because Morocco is a very good team, even though they were also nervous.

And before ending the interview, he was asked why he did not put Endrick in for even one minute, to which he replied that he would not talk about it.

I am not gonna comment on individual players. I am here to talk about the team.

Carlo Ancelotti.

Criticism of the Italian has been seen because many wonder why you would leave a forward as good as Endrick on the bench, claiming that the coach has something against the Brazilian.

The rumors that Ancelotti is not completely comfortable with Endrick date back to when the 19-year-old was playing for Real Madrid before being loaned out, because he was continually on the bench. Even when he entered the field, he was very good, but he never earned the coach's trust.

For now, Endrick's debut in the World Cup will have to wait. He has great talent, so we will wait for the next matches to see it in the competition.
