Several Real Madrid players lashed out at the referees in the final minutes and after the whistle, with Carvajal the most furious of all.
Real Madrid ended very angry after their Champions League elimination in Munich on Tuesday night and vented their fury, especially at the referee, Slovenian Slavko Vincic, who ejected Camavinga for a second yellow card in the 85th minute, just before the goals that gave Bayern the pass to the semifinals.
Arbeloa said, "The referee killed the match and the tie." Bellingham, although no Real Madrid player appeared in the mixed zone, did take advantage of his time in front of the media to say that Camavinga's ejection was "a joke."
The Frenchman went to the locker room in the 86th minute for a second yellow card for a foul on Harry Kane when Real Madrid was winning 2-3, and the match was heading to extra time. It was a turning point no one expected.
Bayern Munich took advantage of Camavinga's ejection and the disarray of the Merengues to score two great goals via Luis Diaz (89th minute) and Michael Olise (90th+4), and earn the pass to the semifinals. The comeback stunned the Spanish side completely.
It seemed like a magical night for Arda Guler as he scored two great goals against Manuel Neuer, his first in the Champions League, but after the elimination, he was ejected for arguing with the referee. His joy turned to frustration in an instant.
The Turkish player was caught confronting Slavko Vincic, who ignored him and continued on his way to the locker room. Before entering the tunnel, Guler ran to intercept him again, and there the referee lost patience and showed him the red card. He will not be able to play in Real Madrid's first match of next season, a heavy price to pay.
One of the angriest was Carvajal, despite not playing a single minute in what could be his last Champions League match with Real Madrid. He watched helplessly from the sideline.
"It's your fault! It's your f---ing fault!" he shouted several times, jumping from the bench at the referee, clearly pointing at him with his right hand, alongside an Arbeloa who did not rebuke him for his words. Vincic seemed not to notice the Real Madrid captain's attitude, as he did not caution him. Nor did the fourth official, despite being very close, intervene at any moment.
