Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano seemingly gave a positive update on Real Madrid midfielder's future at the club although things might change in summer.

Real Madrid's season currently hangs in the balance, as their only realistic chance of winning a trophy this season would depend on the result of the return leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

Practically speaking, the La Liga title dream is all but over as Los Blancos are currently nine points behind league leaders Barcelona with only seven games remaining to play this campaign.

Despite bringing in Alvaro Arbeloa in January, the results have hardly differed from their time under Xabi Alonso, which has been a matter of concern for the club management lately, as they are already keeping an eye on opportunities that could arise during the summer transfer window.

While searching for new recruits, Los Blancos would also have to introspect on their own squad, as a few of their current players have been subpar so far in the ongoing campaign.

Eduardo Camavinga would most likely find his name in that bracket, as the Frenchman's performance this season has been far from satisfactory, and last weekend's game against Girona stands as a more recent testament of that.

With Premier League interest reported, the chances of Camavinga's departure from the Spanish capital have accelerated recently.

Although a recent report from Fabrizio Romano might put those rumors to rest for now, as the transfer market expert recently explained the 23-year-old's current situation at the club, saying, "As of today, my understanding is that Real Madrid are not actively trying to sell Camavinga. Real Madrid is not offering Camavinga to clubs. His agents are not offering Camavinga to clubs.

"Camavinga is not showing a desire to leave Real Madrid, according to my information. So, if there is a top club, a top proposal in the summer, we will see what happens, but, as of today, Camavinga is not actively trying to leave Real Madrid."

The Italian also added, "Camavinga loves Real Madrid, so he still wants to find a way to continue at Real Madrid, also in the future. Then, on the Real Madrid side, he’s not an absolutely untouchable player."

Fabrizio's analysis quite brilliantly sums up the situation for the midfielder, as he struggles to recreate the form he enjoyed under Carlo Ancelotti, when he was seen as a utility player who played almost throughout the midfield and defense only a couple of years ago.

As explained by Fabrizio, Camavinga is not 'untouchable' at the club, and with his contract set to expire in 2029, Los Blancos would have a significant edge if negotiations for the transfer of the player take place, but as it stands, the stance of the player would also be taken into consideration going forward.
