Jose Mourinho has reportedly asked Real Madrid to sign Japanese midfielder Hidemasa Morita from Sporting CP.

As the summer transfer market approaches, Real Madrid gets closer to the possible new coach of the club, Jose Mourinho.

Postulated as the favorite of fans and the club's executives, and awaiting the possible elections that president Florentino Perez wants to hold, everything seems to indicate that his return to Real Madrid is more than likely.

In fact, although everything had been a rumor and Mourinho himself came out to declare that there was nothing to confirm with Real Madrid, the journalist who rarely errs in his predictions, Fabrizio Romano, has repeatedly affirmed that there has actually been a conversation between the two.

On Wednesday, Romano posted on X (Twitter) that the return to Real Madrid was advancing to the final stages, with agreements progressing well.

Now, with the return almost confirmed, reports from Japan say that the Portuguese coach has asked to bring in Hidemasa Morita to Real Madrid.

Morita, 31, is a Japanese positional midfielder who currently plays for Sporting Portugal, and, according to the outlet Sports Hochi, Mourinho requested that Real Madrid bring him in because he likes the player.

Los Blancos are looking to reinforce that area of the field, so his arrival could be beneficial for next season.

Morita spent most of his soccer career in Japan until 2021, and with his contract ending on June 30 of this year, his possible adaptation to the club would be interesting to see.

According to the same outlet, the Japanese player would be ideal for Real Madrid to bring a new structure to the dressing room, which has been mired in chaos lately due to fights.

But Real Madrid would not be the only club behind Morita. It is rumored that several clubs have already set their sights on him for next season, including Olympique de Marseille and Leeds United.

Hidemasa Morita has also received offers in the past from Fenerbahce SK and Benfica, teams that were coached by Jose Mourinho, by the way.

Morita, who is already over 30, does not seem to fit well into the current scheme, which is designed for players who will play for the club in the future, so we will have to wait and see how this rumor unfolds.
