Real Madrid candidate Enrique Riquelme promises to bring Jurgen Klopp to the club, but his agent denies it.

Just two days before Real Madrid's electoral board decides on the new president of the white club, both candidates are revealing who they will sign if they win.

On the one hand, the candidacy of the Spanish businessman Enrique Riquelme has been one of the most controversial, as he has said that, if he wins, he will bring Manchester City forward Erling Haaland to Real Madrid.

The news spread like wildfire, especially in Spanish media, and, unfortunately for Riquelme, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, City released a statement affirming that everything was false, that they would not let Haaland go, and that he could even face legal charges for using their player's image.

Despite being denied in this way, Riquelme did not stop there; he also said he had already spoken with the agent of Haaland's teammate, the defensive midfielder Rodri.

Riquelme commented that, despite already having had contact with the player, he still has to speak with Manchester City, given that the circumstances are different from those of Haaland, and assured that they have the utmost respect for the club.

For his part, Rodri was questioned about this supposed agreement, and according to the same journalist, the Spaniard answered that everything related to his future will have to wait until after the World Cup.

"Do I have an agreement with Enrique Riquelme to join Real Madrid? I'm here to speak about the World Cup. Everything related to my future will have to wait until after the World Cup."

However, the 37-year-old businessman's promises did not end there. On Thursday of this week, Enrique Riquelme revealed who he would choose as the new coach to train with Los Blancos if he wins the presidency this coming Sunday.

The coach the Spaniard was referring to is none other than the German Jurgen Klopp.

According to words collected by Sky Sports, Riquelme admitted that he knows that Klopp has said on repeated occasions that he is not interested in returning to the dugout in the short term and that he has rejected numerous offers from clubs, but that for that very reason, he believes that Real Madrid will be the exception.

"There are great clubs, but there is only one Real Madrid. There is only one institution capable of uniting tradition and future, values and ambition, passion and excellence."

Riquelme made it clear that if Real Madrid's members choose him, next Monday, Raul Gonzalez Blanco, who would be the new sporting director if he wins, will contact the German to personally convince him after presenting the sporting project they envision for Real Madrid's future.

However, on Friday, according to Sky Sports Germany, Jurgen Klopp's agent, Marc Kosicke, denied any possibility of the former Liverpool coach becoming Real Madrid's coach.

"It’s annoying. He’s not planning to return to coaching a club and is happy at Red Bull."

Kosicke showed his annoyance at the rumors, and once again, Riquelme was caught between his statements. Although the Spaniard has already said he understands these are not easy cases, he still wants to convince them, so we will see how the cases progress in a few days.
