Diario AS deputy director Tomas Roncero lashed out at Rodri for choosing Barcelona over Real Madrid, even after the two sides had a verbal agreement in place.
After recent statements given by Rodri, in which he assured that Barcelona was always his first option, comments of rejection began to emerge from a sector of Real Madrid fans. One of them was Tomas Roncero, a faithful follower of the merengue club and deputy director of Diario AS, one of the biggest sports media outlets not only in Spain but also in Latin America.
Roncero uploaded a video to the website saying the following: "I'm going to love you all the same, Rodri. But you let paradise slip away, man. Because I heard Rodri with Manu Carreno on Larguero, where he asked him about Real Madrid, and he said, "Well, everyone knows it: Real Madrid is the best club in history and the most decorated. And I'm not saying it; Rodri said it, and it was already agreed with Madrid: the economic conditions, everything was agreed."
