Real Madrid targets VfB Stuttgart's Finn Jeltsch to solve its center-back problem. FC Barcelona, Arsenal, and Juventus also chase the young German defender.
Real Madrid is already thinking about how to improve its squad in the future, above all to address the team's defensive needs, so a young German has slipped onto its wish list.
La Liga began recently, and Real Madrid has had a start to the season that has not been considered fascinating, especially given the summer additions, which have raised expectations very high.
The club has also had a considerable number of errors in defensive depth, and these are not isolated incidents but rather individual errors and even a lack of center backs.
Currently, the Spanish team has only Antonio Rudiger, Dean Huijsen, and Ibrahima Konate covering the center, but with Raul Asencio's injury fresh and Eder Militao still recovering, Real Madrid appears to be searching for a long-term solution.
According to transfer news expert Ekrem Konur, Real Madrid is closely following German defender Finn Jeltsch. The young center-back is in the orbit of the Spanish giant, with a possible agreement estimated at between 50 and 60 million euros.
However, Real Madrid is not the only one after Jeltsch, as it has been reported that FC Barcelona, Arsenal, and Juventus are also interested in the services of the VfB Stuttgart player.
With a contract valid until June 2030, Finn appears to be gaining the attention of big teams, and the rumor about Real Madrid's interest also came from journalist Jorge Picon.
Speaking on Inaki Angulo's YouTube channel, the journalist said that many inside the club like the idea of bringing Finn Jeltsch in.
"Madrid likes Finn Jeltsch a lot, Stuttgart's center back, he is young, strong, and belongs to the German market, but there are people inside the club who prefer a more veteran center back," he explained.
According to Picon, Finn is not the only player in the conversations, but he is one of the favorites, as he is a strong German player, and it is well known that Real Madrid likes German players.
"There are people at the club who consider that a veteran center back is better, and Mourinho already put Bastoni's name on the table in the summer, but I tell you, this kid from Stuttgart is very well liked and could be a signing in the future."
Aside from that information, there is not much more on the matter. It is still very early to know if Finn Jeltsch will arrive at Real Madrid, so the club will have to overcome the center-back situation with the players it has available for the moment.
