Real Madrid centre forward, Carlos Espi has been recognised by game FC27 (formerly known as FIFA) by being part of their upcoming 'Future Stars' promo to be released on the 9th of October.
Despite very limited game time under Jose Mourinho so far, it has been a positive start to life at Real Madrid for Carlos Espi, having joined from fellow La Liga side Levante during the summer transfer window.
Even though he has only played 36 minutes of football, he has scored two crucial goals in the league, once away to RCD Espanyol on opening day, and then again away to Elche on match day six. These goals have won four points for the team, and what is already a difficult situation would be looking much worse if not for his huge contributions.
This good form then followed into the international break, with four goals and two assists for Spain U21s against San Marino in Euro 2027 qualifying, before then receiving his maiden call up to the senior team to replace the injured Ferran Torres. Unfortunately, he was not included in the match day squad for either game, but a step in the right direction nevertheless.
It is clear to see already that Espi is a very talented young player. Even last season at Levante, he scored 11 league goals in just 1350 minutes, the equivalent of 15 full 90's. He also found the back of the net twice in just 99 Copa del Rey minutes too. Owing tot his form, he won the La Liga U23 Player of the Season for 25/26.
Well, his bright future and huge potential has been recognised by FC27 (formerly known as FIFA), by being given a 'Future Stars' card as part of the upcoming promo to be released this Friday (the 9th of October).
He joins other young players such as Tom Bischof (Bayern Munich), Lewis Hall (Newcastle United), Myles Lewis-Skelly (Arsenal), former Real Madrid youngster Jacobo Ramon of Como, and other very talented players across the continent.
In terms of the base card, Espi has been given an 85 rating, and his base stats are as follows: 85 pace, 85 shooting, 73 passing, 82 dribbling, 46 defending and 83 physical. Could be a bit better truth be told, but not too bad and no doubt many Real Madrid fans will be buying him this Friday and in the future.
Let's hope there is more to come from the 21-year old this season, perhaps starting from this weekend against Villarreal. It seems as if Kylian Mbappe has recovered from injury in time to play, but you never know, there could be more impact off the bench from Espi.
