A powerful clause allows Real Madrid to reacquire a former La Fabrica player who left just months ago, and with his recent performances, a return to the club could be on the horizon.

Victor Munoz continues to grow at lightning speed. A few months ago, Braulio Vazquez set his sights on the Real Madrid youth player and managed to pull him out of La Fabrica for €5 million.

In no time, the Catalan attacking midfielder has gone from playing with Castilla to being a starter in the first division and debuting with Luis de la Fuente’s senior national team. Everyone is talking about the young attacker, and many point out that he could be sold for much more than what Osasuna invested.

Real Madrid has almost complete control over the player. In fact, the transfer contract established a buyback clause of €8 million, meaning it would cost Florentino’s club €3 million (if the €5 million paid is subtracted) to bring the player back into the fold. An excellent deal.

Real Madrid must decide whether to exercise that right or instead allow the player to remain with Osasuna. Additionally, the club ensured it could exercise the buyback over the next three years. However, as time passes, the buy price increases.

Aside from that option, which gives Real Madrid an advantage over any market rival seeking to take the player, the Navarrese club set a €40 million release clause. It should be noted that Osasuna and Real Madrid agreed to a transfer covering 50% of the player’s economic rights, meaning half of what Osasuna would receive from a future sale would go to the white club’s coffers.

The contract is similar to the one Real Madrid has with Como for Nico Paz. Offers are controlled by the white club, and it can recover the player for a very reasonable price, nothing like what Premier League teams might put on the table to secure players who come out of La Fabrica and break through.

Victor made his debut with the Spanish national team last night with Braulio Vazquez, Osasuna’s sporting director, in the stands. The Catalan scored the 3-0 goal in the 72nd minute of the match. The play was spectacular. A through ball from Dani Olmo, a back-heel flick of brilliance from Ferran Torres, and a goal showcasing the speed and instep finish of the Osasuna player. Goal and his price rising like foam.

His numbers in Pamplona are spectacular. He has played 29 matches and scored five goals, establishing himself as an undisputed starter under Alessio Lisci. The supersonic kid, as he has been dubbed, has a market, and Real Madrid can buy him back for a paltry sum.
