The Real Madrid loanee was up against European Champions PSG on Sunday evening, and it is safe to say he more than put on a show for everyone
Ahead of the January transfer window, Real Madrid decided to loan Endrick out to Ligue 1 giants Lyon in order to find the young Brazilian some gametime. He had only played a total of 99 minutes during the entire first half of the season, so it made sense.
After an electric start to life in France for Endrick, with goal contributions in all of his first three games - including a hat-trick away to Metz - things began to slow down, and he was even recently called out by manager Paulo Fonseca, who even took him out of the team.
However, it was clearly what the young Brazilian needed. After being left on the bench against Lorient last week, he came on at half time, and instantly provided an assist within five minutes.
Then this weekend, we got the best performance of his loan spell so far. With Lyon away to league leaders and UEFA Champions League semi finalists PSG, Endrick was back in the starting XI.
After just six minutes, he got on the end of a scuffed through ball inside the box, and drilled a powerful left foot shot in off the near post and into the back of the net to take an early lead.
He wasn't done there, however. Following a PSG corner, the teenager played a volleyed through ball to team mate Afonso Moreira, who finished when one on one, and Lyon had a two goal lead.
Despite a first half penalty, PSG would not pull one back until the final minute of stoppage time, by which point it was too late, meaning that Endrick's side won the game 2-1 thanks to his fantastic goal and assist.
The Real Madrid loanee played 79 minutes of the game. He has now scored four goals, provided six assists, and created eight big chances in 900 minutes in Ligue 1 this season - the equivalent of around 10 full games of football. So, pretty good so far.
Aside from that, he also scored two goals and provided an assist in 252 minutes of Coupe de France action, and scored once in the Europa League in 157 minutes of game time. So, in all competitions, he has scored seven goals and provided seven assists over in France.
Although it has not all been plain sailing, it is clear this has, overall, been a productive loan for Endrick. It lead to a Brazil recall during the March international break, where he provided an assist and won a penalty against Croatia. He now looks like he will be in Carlo Ancelotti's squad for the World Cup this summer.
