The Real Madrid player is said to have already decided on his future, as opportunities have been hard to come by.

Dani Ceballos' reaches a point of no return

It is always a privilege to sign for a club like Real Madrid; the excitement of lifting trophies in the coveted white shirt always adds to the aspirations of a player, but of course, it comes at a cost.

No matter how talented you are, you always have to fight for your place at Los Blancos, with opportunities hard to come by; it gets even tougher to make the first team.

You have to have a strong mindset to survive the Bernabeu crowd, as they always demand more, especially during the long Champions League nights, arguably the most important tournament for the century-old club.

Many players came and went, dreaming of a place in the club's history books, a feat only a few have accomplished so far.

Dani Ceballos was one of those aspirational candidates who made a move to Los Blancos in the summer of 2017 from Real Betis as a highly rated 20-year-old midfielder who had already impressed a bunch of La Liga clubs with his dazzling dribbling and passing.

Now, according to MARCA (h/t Get Football News), Ceballos' "situation at Real Madrid has reached a point of no return. The midfielder from Seville has already decided that the upcoming summer transfer window will be his last with Real Madrid."

During his initial years at the club, the Spaniard had to compete with the likes of Toni Kroos, Casemiro, and Luka Modric for a place in the starting eleven, as featured for a total of 22 games for Los Merengues in all competitions but made the starting lineup in only seven occasions and also managed to score twice with the limited minutes under his belt.

After failing to compete with the untouchable trio at the Bernabeu, Ceballos decided to move for a change as he was loaned out to Arsenal in 2019, where he was more frequent starter alongside Los Blancos' former star kid Martin Odegaard and as a result decided on extending his stay in London for another campaign after eventually returning back to Madrid in the summer of 2021.

Now, despite Kroos, Casemiro, and Modric all gone, Ceballos' fate at Real Madrid hasn't changed much, which is the most likely reason why he has decided to leave the club at the end of this campaign, with his former club, Betis, already gearing up for a move for their former player.

The 29-year-old signed for a fee of around €17-18 million from Betis in 2017, now with his contract scheduled to end in 2027, Los Blancos would most likely to ask a fee north of that but whether his suitors would pay that amount for him or not remains to be seen.
