Real Madrid are considering a lot of names this summer as their 'galactico' signing and the Premier League striker seems to be one of them.
Real Madrid have undoubtedly signed some of the most experienced stars this summer, with the likes of Bernando Silva, Ibrahima Konate and Marc Cucurella already announced as their first batch of summer arrivals.
Apparently all of these three players have been recruited from the Premier League and Los Blancos are yet again looking towards the English clubs in order to complete their 'galactico' signing this summer.
Two names are being floated as the Whites' most probable targets this summer, one being Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez and the other, Erling Haaland of Manchester City.
The Norwegian striker has been one of the most sought after players for Los Blancos during the past few transfer windows following the signing of Kylian Mbappe.
Although indirectly, the Merengues were linked with a move for the 25-year-old prior to their presidential election at the start of this month, as Florentino Perez's counterpart Enrique Riquelme, claimed to bring in Haaland if he would have won the election, which was held on the 4th of June.
Haaland's agent and his club immediately denied that claim and City even threatened to pursue legal action but Perez's inevitable victory saw those rumors getting silenced.
Now according to Spanish outlet Sport (h/t Caught Offside), Los Blancos might reignite their interest on the Premier League top scorer after his brilliant start to the ongoing World Cup.
But as per the report, the Whites will only move in on Haaland if they fail to reach an agreement with Vinicius Junior, as the Brazilian's contract has only one more year left in it.
That is the only possible scenario currently how Haaland and Mbappe will fit in this Real Madrid squad but it certainly looks to be a nightmare kind of a situation for the opponent defenders even it its only a rumor.
As for Vini Jr., the flamboyant winger has always made his intentions clear regarding his future, as the Brazilian sees Santiago Bernabeu as his home for many more years to come.
And as per the latest reports, both Madrid and Vini are being calm on the situation as they look to sort it out following the culmination of the World Cup.
But as always, Los Blancos are keeping their avenues open, in order to sustain any departure this summer, even if it is Vini, one of their best players since the past few campaigns, as they keep close tabs on Haaland's World Cup exploits this summer.
