With the FIFA World Cup round of 32 now immediately on the horizon, let's take a look at how things shape up for the Real Madrid players in action

Although the group stage of this summer's FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico only finished a matter of hours ago, the round of 32 starts later on today (Sunday). No rest for the wicked, and with that being said, let's take a look at how things look for Real Madrid players at the tournament.

To begin things, having topped their group, Vinicius, Endrick and Brazil are off to Houston to face Japan on Monday at 19:00 CET, in just the second game of the knockout stages. That looks like an interesting game.

Later on that day, Antonio Rudiger's Germany - who topped their group despite a defeat to Ecuador - will face Paraguay in Foxborough at 22:30. The 33-year old was on the bench for the opening two games, but a tournament ending injury to Real Madrid linked Nico Schlotterbeck now has him in the starting XI.

A few hours after that, after finishing second below Brazil on goal difference, Brahim Diaz and Morocco will take on Denzel Dumfries' Netherlands outfit - who won their group ahead of Japan - in Monterrey at 03:00, in what feels like one of the most balanced ties of the round.

Then, at 23:00 on Tuesday, Ibrahima Konate, Aurelien Tchouameni, Kylian Mbappe and France - fresh off their first nine points group stage since 1998, where they won the World Cup - will take on Sweden in New Jersey.

The next day (Wednesday) at 18:00, Jude Bellingham's England side will face DR Congo in Atlanta, having won their group with seven points, in no small part thanks to the Real Madrid number five.

Then, at 22:00 that day, having won their group on goal difference, Thibaut Courtois and Belgium will play their first World Cup knockout stage game since 2018, when they face Senegal in Seattle.

On Thursday (the 2nd), at 21:00, after topping their group, despite a shock 0-0 draw with Cape Verde, Marc Cucurella and Spain will take on Austria in Inglewood at the SoFi stadium.

Four hours later, at 01:00 (Friday morning), Bernardo Silva and Portugal will take on Croatia and Real Madrid legend Luka Modric in Toronto, having only finished second in their group behind Colombia.

So, there we have it, the round of 32 schedule in full. We will keep you updated throughout this round and beyond, stay tuned here at roundtable for all the updates.
