After Kylian Mbappé's controversial comments, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez plans to meet with the French star to ease tensions.

Real Madrid simply never tires of making headlines every day, and once again, the person responsible is the club's forward, Kylian Mbappé.

On Thursday, Real Madrid faced Real Oviedo in a La Liga match (2-0), and although the victory should have been something to celebrate, what they got was more drama than celebration.

To begin with, the Frenchman came off the bench in the 68th minute and was greeted by the majority of the fans with a series of boos and whistles, which already started to look bad, and above all, to get into the forward's head.

At the end of the match, Mbappé was interviewed by the press about why he had been a substitute rather than a starter, to which the 27-year-old responded indignantly.

"I haven't played because the coach says I am the fourth forward."

This negative comment toward the coach, Alvaro Arbeloa, alerted everyone, and rumors once again began to fly, some in his favor and others against him.

In his defense, Arbeloa commented after the match that it was most likely that Mbappe had not understood him. Let us remember that there is still a certain language barrier between the two, so it is not surprising that a misunderstanding like that could happen.

"I could never tell him that. He must not have understood me well. A player who four days ago could not even be on the bench, today should not start," the coach defended himself in a press conference.

But this is not the only thing the Frenchman has said about the coach; when asked about the coach's press conference, Mbappé answered again.

"I don't watch Arbeloa's press conferences. At home I have French TV, not Spanish TV."

Given this disastrous situation and information from Defensa Central, the club's president, Florentino Perez, wants to step forward in light of the issues the starting roster has been causing, so he has decided to meet with the team, especially with Kylian Mbappé.

After the season full of setbacks they have already faced, what Florentino wants now is to start the new one on the right foot, so having a conversation and calming the forward's spirits is what they need to do.

Also, the possible new replacement for Arbeloa, Jose Mourinho, has come to his defense in a press conference after being questioned about the debate.

"I feel for Arbeloa," Mourinho admitted, "our life as a coach is like that."

The Portuguese coach and colleague explained that he always jokes with his former players who later become coaches.

"I always tell them: wait a couple of years, and you will see how many gray hairs you will have, and now you know that being a player is much easier than being a coach. I'm sorry it's going like this, but yesterday he won well, and at least today he will be happy," he concluded.
