Jose Mourinho has reportedly inflicted a new set of rules for the Real Madrid players to follow and the squad has seemingly welcomed the new norms.

It is no secret that Jose Mourinho has been brought in as the new manager of Real Madrid to manage the recent problems inside the dressing room.

Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa's tenure at the club was marked by a number of squad irregularities, which ultimately ended in a trophyless campaign.

A number of reports cited the clash of egos in the Los Merengues dressing room as the primary cause of the team's recent poor performances.

The Whites also had difficulties with injuries last season, including the misdiagnosis of Kylian Mbappe's injury, which ultimately led to the change of Los Blancos' fitness team.

This time around, Mourinho seems to have analysed all the previous irregularities beforehand and set a few rules for the squad to follow.

As reported by AS, the Portuguese manager will focus on three key areas: nutrition, discipline, and recovery sessions.

The players will now have to follow strict dietary programs as prescribed by the club's dietitians, and it is no longer advisory; it's mandatory for each and every Los Blancos player.

Players will now need to arrive one hour prior to the start of every training session at Valdebebas. Failure to do so will no longer result in a monetary fine, but the concerned individual will, from now on, have to train alone inside the facilities.

As for injury recovery sessions, Los Blancos players will need to have their sessions under the supervision of the club's medical team, although there is no restriction on having a personal trainer. But now, no player will be able to treat their injuries without the club's strict supervision.

The report also quotes an insider saying, "He(Mourinho) wants to foster the group, the unity, and it's proving quite inspiring. The atmosphere is very, very good."

The players' positive reaction to the new set of rules is certainly great news for every fan.

Undoubtedly, quality has always been present in the Los Blancos dressing room; the only thing that posed a problem over the past couple of seasons was the lack of unity amongst the players.

There were many doubts about Florentino Perez's decision to push for Mourinho's appointment as the Whites' new manager.

Now, with the new visuals and reports coming out of the Valdebebas training centre, the squad is seemingly rallying behind the veteran manager towards the common goal of winning trophies at the end of the campaign.
