One of Real Madrid's key transfer targets' agents has now made it clear that his client is looking for an exit.

Following two back-to-back disappointing seasons, Real Madrid are seemingly not taking any chances going into the new campaign.

Los Blancos have already announced the arrivals of Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, and Ibrahima Konate as their summer arrivals, with Denzel Dumfries now looking to be the next in line.

But as it seems, the Merengues are not done yet, with the summer transfer window still in its initial phases, the Whites are pushing to bring in some more quality additions to the squad.

Enzo Fernandez of Chelsea has been linked with a move to Los Blancos for some time now, more so since his confession about living in Madrid in the future, which saw the Blues suspend their star midfielder for two important games.

The relationship between the Argentine and his current club never really grew again. Now, with the summer transfer window wide open, Fernandez's departure from Stamford Bridge looks imminent.

Apparently, the player's agent and former player, Javier Pastore, has just made it clear that Fernandez and his team are now actively exploring a move away from the club.

During an interview with Spanish outlet MARCA (h/t football.london), he said, "Today the player is calmly focused on the national team, he's playing in a World Cup, he's very close to advancing to the round of 16,

"He's only thinking about that, and we're looking at possibilities for him to leave Chelsea, but there's nothing firm or confirmed with any club."

Although the reports suggest that there have been no club-to-club talks so far, Los Blancos are most likely taking notice of the situation, and as mentioned by Pastore, we might see things starting to roll following the end of the ongoing World Cup.

Fernandez is certainly a priority for Real Madrid this summer, but they are also keeping tabs on other options who could be available at a lower price.

The Merengues might be hesitant regarding the Blues' asking price of £120 million for their star midfielder, but as it seems, it his unlikely that the Whites will shy away from any sort of negotiations with Fernandez and Chelsea.

But as of now, Madrid's top priority looks to be making space for further signings. Following the departures of Dani Carvajal and David Alaba, Los Blancos recently parted ways with midfielder Dani Ceballos and are still looking to get the best deals for two other midfielders, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga, following Jose Mourinho's reported approval.

All of these recent developments clearly state that Los Blancos will bring in a more ready-to-perform midfield option this summer, with Fernandez looking to be the most likely option.
