After a start to the season in which Jose Mourinho has not called on him often, Eduardo Camavinga appears to fit perfectly into the Portuguese coach's plans for El Clasico and could be in the starting lineup.

Jose Mourinho would still be quite undecided about the starting eleven he will field next Sunday at the Camp Nou. The Portuguese is quite clear that it is one of the most important decisions of the season, so he does not want to leave any detail to chance. He has been analyzing different situations, as well as every possible scenario that could occur against Barcelona.

Among those options, one that could be gaining strength, to the surprise of many, is Eduardo Camavinga in the starting eleven. The Frenchman, despite not having received too many opportunities so far this season, has characteristics that fit perfectly with what Mourinho wants to implement this Sunday. His physical power, driving ability, and the ease he has in beating rival lines make him quite an interesting option for Real Madrid at El Clasico.

Camavinga allows the team to gain meters with the ball under control, and he faces duels with energy. Those two qualities would fit perfectly with the style of play the Portuguese coach wants to propose. What is certain is that Federico Valverde would return to right back. Something he has been doing in the last two matches (Sevilla and RB Leipzig); in that position, he has amazed Mourinho, so he would repeat the dose in Barcelona.

When the Uruguayan is at fullback, he allows the team to gain depth and, at the same time, offers alternatives by moving forward into midfield. One doubt would be what position Arda Guler would start in, since Mourinho has used him both as a right winger and as Bernardo Silva's partner in midfield. It is likely that he would opt to put him to the right of Kylian Mbappe, so that he could exploit his creativity down the flank, but also with freedom to move to the middle when needed.

Without a doubt, in this match, all the footballers will be required to be at their best. Something we have already seen, for example, with Yan Diomande, who has freed himself from any possible pressure that tormented him at the start of the season and has been unleashed. He has shed some kind of invisible chain and has scored three goals in four matches. Madridismo sees in him the most important route to scoring, only behind Mbappe.

Barcelona were touched by injuries, and by the wear that visiting Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes meant. They lost Dani Olmo, and Eric Garcia is doubtful, alongside Jules Kounde. However, the Culers are a very strong team, lovers of ball touch and of exploiting their wingers, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, to start the offense. That is where Valverde and Cucurella will have to be sharp to cut out as many plays as possible.
