With this unprecedently long international break now finally over, we take a moment to look back at the past couple of weeks and the fortunes or otherwise of Real Madrid's star players.

The first four game international break is now over. The usual template of two games in September, October and November was scrapped this year, being replaced by four games across September and October, before the usual two game break in November. So, there has been plenty of action for Real Madrid stars. Let's see how they got on.

To begin, Denzel Dumfries started all four games for the Netherlands under new manager Xavi, playing the full 90 in three of those games, and ten minutes in the other, so not a lot of rest. The Netherlands won two and drew two, leaving them neck and neck with Greece at the top of the group in the UEFA Nations League.

Meanwhile, Marc Cucurella started and played the full 90 in three of Spain's Nations League games, whilst being an unused sub in the other. Dean Huijsen played the full 90 in one game, and was an unused sub three times. Carlos Espi was drafted in for his maiden call up, but did not make either match day squad, having scored four times for the U21s. Spain won all four of their games, and sit top of the group.

Keeping it in the same group, Jude Bellingham featured in all four of England's games, playing the full 90 twice, 73 minutes once, and a 19 minute cameo in the other. He scored and provided four assists in that time.

As for Trent Alexander-Arnold, he played the full 90 twice, and was an unused sub in the other two games. In the Czechia away game, it was his gorgeous assist that opened the scoring for England. He was named in the WhoScored Team of the Tournament so far.

Elsewhere in the Nations League, Eduardo Camavinga featured in all four games for France under new boss and Real Madrid legend, Zinedine Zidane. He started twice, playing 90 and 88 minutes, whilst featuring in two cameos off the bench for 12 and 14 minutes.

Team mate Kylian Mbappe started their opening game, scoring the winner but injuring himself in the process. So, just the 59 minutes for him across the break. France sit top of the group with ten points from four games.

In the same group, Arda Guler played three full 90's for Turkey, but was suspended (yellow cards) for their fourth game. Unfortunately for him, his side lost every game and sit rock bottom of the group.

Bernardo Silva featured the least of any Real Madrid player over this break. He was an unused sub in two of Portugal's games, whilst playing three and four minutes in the other two games. Should mean he is fresh and ready to go from Saturday. Portugal won all four of their games.

Moving across the globe, Endrick featured in all three of Brazil's games, starting and playing 65 minutes once, and coming on to play 45 and 29 minutes in the other two. He registered one assist. Meanwhile Vinicius started all three games, playing 65, 82 and 45 minutes, scoring a penalty across the games.

Over in Africa, Brahim Diaz played 69 minutes of Morocco's AFCON qualifier against Lesotho, and scored a goal. He then played 25 minutes of a friendly against Mali. To finish things off, Yan Diomande played two 90's for Ivory Coast in AFCON qualifying, whilst playing 29 minutes off the bench in their friendly.

There we have it, the recap of this drawn out international break for every Real Madrid player. Aside from Mbappe, nobody picked up an injury, and it looks as if he will be fine for Villarreal in any case.
