Kylian Mbappe "took advantage" of his injury to sneak away on a romantic trip to Italy, all while Real Madrid fights to keep its La Liga hopes alive. Fans on social media let him have it.
The relationship between Kylian Mbappe and Ester Exposito seems to be sailing smoothly. Honestly, they look really happy together. First, they were seen having dinner together in Paris. Days later, the footballer was seen picking her up by car at her house. Now, they have escaped together to Cagliari, Sardinia, in Italy, where they were photographed eating at a luxury restaurant. Not a bad life at all.
All this, while Real Madrid is playing for its last chance to compete for LaLiga with FC Barcelona, which currently has an 11-point lead (85 to 74). The Frenchman sustained an injury to the semitendinosus muscle in his left leg in the match against Betis, and what is now being sought is for him to play in the Clasico next Sunday, May 10. The team really needs him back.
They were caught at Lo Scoglio Cagliari, opened in 1958, and even the venue itself posted a photograph of the Real Madrid player on its social media: “In Cagliari, May 1 is celebrated in style... between San Efeso and meetings that go unnoticed! Alessandro with a certain Mbappe!” they noted.
“P.S. We cannot reveal anything about what was written on the dessert... but you can try to guess in the comments. See you by the sea,” the post concludes.
That said, this has not pleased many white fans on social media, who have not hesitated to leave comments criticizing the current LaLiga top scorer: “71 million euros down the drain for the second consecutive season. He only shows up against Talavera.”
Or “It seems that, since his injury, he has mentally checked out... he seems unmotivated and disinterested,” are some of them. Tough crowd, but that is Madrid for you.
Others point out: “I can understand his frustrations, but his attitude is disappointing and insulting to the club and the fans...,” accusing him of disappearing when the situation gets complicated at Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Mbappe just keeps living his life. Fans expect total focus, especially in a title race. But love and football do not always mix well. A romantic getaway at this moment? That takes some courage, honestly.
