Real Madrid's French midfielder said in a post-match interview that the referee's booking was exaggerated and unfair, a decision that could affect the second leg.

With six players booked, it was difficult for Real Madrid to avoid some suspension heading into the Allianz, and the first casualty was Tchouameni. The Frenchman stopped an advance by Olise when the Bayern player was chasing a ball into space, and Michael Oliver did not forgive him for the yellow card. It was a significant loss for Munich. It happened in the 36th minute of the match.

Real Madrid entered the match with Carreras, Huijsen, Bellingham, Mbappe, Vinicius, and Tchouameni himself on a warning, and the French midfielder was the first to fall. Practically six starters played without a defensive safety net, especially against a team like Bayern.

The last ten minutes of the first half were fateful minutes for Real Madrid, which saw Tchouameni booked in the 36th minute and Luis Diaz put Bayern ahead in the 41st minute.

That was why the French midfielder could not play the second leg against Bayern. And Tchouameni did not understand it. He was not a player who usually criticized the referee's performance, but in this case he raised his voice to say that the yellow card Michael Oliver had given him was unfair.

"For me, it was not a yellow card, I did nothing, I was running... And with all the fouls that happened before, it was unfair," lamented the Frenchman, who did not want to talk about the player who could come in his place: "Do you really think I am going to answer that? We have a great team, and whoever plays will do very well. We are going to go out to win in Munich."

When analyzing the match and the second leg, Tchouameni was clear. "We needed to concede less and score more. It was obvious, but we were going to go out to win. We knew it was a two-legged tie, and we still thought we could advance. We were going to give everything, it was going to be a tough match, but if we played at our level and went out with confidence, we could do a lot of damage," insisted Tchouameni.

The Frenchman highlighted the team's reaction despite the loss. "I do not know if the result was unfair, but at 0-2, when it was difficult, we raised our level and generated more chances. We are going to work and prepare well for the match."
