Chelsea's Moises Caicedo addresses Real Madrid links.

Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo, who is currently with his national team in Spain ahead of the friendly against Morocco next Friday, responded to questions from El Chiringuito about a possible move to Real Madrid.

Diego Plaza wanted to ask the Chelsea player about his future at a time when rumors had surged amid the club's need to sign a midfielder for next season.

Caicedo, 24, is one of the names being mentioned. The Ecuadorian is one of Chelsea's best players, and it is no surprise that his name has been linked to the world's best teams.

However, the player distanced himself from all the rumors: "I am only focused on my club now, sincerely. I have a contract there at my club, I want to be a legend if God wills it. After the national team, to stay there and finish in the best way," he said.

Despite the fact that having a good World Cup could put him in the spotlight, Caicedo downplays that. He only wants to do a good job so that Ecuador can go as far as possible: "Hopefully everything goes well because what I want most is to leave my national team as high as possible," he explained.

For months, Caicedo's name has been repeatedly linked with Real Madrid among the numerous midfielders being mentioned to strengthen the club's midfield. With the emergence of Thiago Pitarch, the pressure to sign a midfielder seems less intense, but the white club is still scanning the market.

There is no doubt that Caicedo is a player who could be very interesting, but at the same time, his signing is practically impossible due to the prices demanded by Premier League clubs. We are talking about a signing that could exceed 100 million euros.

In any case, the Ecuadorian player does not seem to want to leave Stamford Bridge, although it is true that his response is the same as that of any player in the middle of the season, whether or not he intends to change scenery. It is very unusual for a player to say he wants to do so in the middle of the season.
