Rumors about Enzo Fernandez's possible signing with Real Madrid are intensifying as Chelsea's season rapidly unravels. Since replacing Enzo Maresca in January, Liam Rosenior has managed 19 matches, becoming the seventh manager under whom Fernandez has played in just three years.

This instability on the bench has reportedly left the midfielder deeply disillusioned. Additionally, a dismal run of four consecutive defeats has severely darkened the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge.

Among the recent heavy losses are a humiliating 5-2 defeat away and a 3-0 home loss to Paris Saint-Germain, which culminated in their elimination from the Champions League, followed by a 3-0 Premier League defeat to Everton over the weekend. The Blues languish in sixth place with 48 points, six points behind fourth-place Aston Villa.

According to a report from AS, Fernandez moved quickly to quell intense media rumors about a possible move to the Santiago Bernabeu. Speaking to reporters upon his arrival at Ezeiza airport to join the Argentine national team, the 25-year-old offered a comprehensive response to the ongoing speculation.

He stated, "There are a few months left until the season ends. Real Madrid? The truth is, there is nothing, zero conversations. Right now, we are focused on Chelsea, on what remains of the final matches. After the World Cup, we'll see."

Chelsea's leadership initially intended to secure the player's long-term future following his Club World Cup triumph last summer. His current lucrative contract does not expire until the end of June 2032.

However, contract extension negotiations have completely stalled. Adding further intrigue to his uncertain situation, he recently joined a new representation agency, The Elegant Game, run by Javier Pastore and Matias Toranzo. This strategic move has only intensified interest from Europe's elite clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain.

Although his immediate priority is to navigate the final three months of the domestic season and defend Argentina's world title in the upcoming World Cup, the allure of the Spanish capital looms over him. Reports suggest his ultimate ambition is to cement a legendary legacy at the Bernabeu.

He is already a regular visitor to the city during his free time. By explicitly stating that his future will be reassessed after the summer tournament, he has effectively put the Premier League team on high alert. They now face a monumental battle to convince their prized asset to stay.
