Nico Paz may not return to Real Madrid as Jose Mourinho prioritizes Bernardo Silva.

With the summer transfer window, new reinforcements will come to Real Madrid's squad, and some will arrive to take away the opportunity from others to shine on the team.

Real Madrid's new coach will be Portuguese Jose Mourinho, who returns to the Santiago Bernabéu after leaving in 2013.

With his arrival also comes new members to the White team who will take the place that could have corresponded to others, and that seems to be the case for attacking central midfielder Nico Paz.

Paz was loaned to Como 1907, an Italian club that welcomed him since the 2024/2025 season, where he has had great prominence, especially during the 2025/2026 season, in which he participated in 40 matches, scoring 13 goals and providing 7 assists.

His return to Real Madrid had been widely discussed in the press, but since Bernardo Silva's signing was reported, it seems that Paz's return will be put on hold.

With no place for him, the young Argentine apparently will stay one more season at Como. Journalist Alberto Pereiro from Onda Cero has stated that Paz will not return to Real Madrid.

For Jose Mourinho, the answer was clear: Bernardo Silva is the right option to cover that area, and although it is said that he will not return, another journalist has stated that the Portuguese's signing will be a challenge for both because Nico Paz would indeed return to the white club.

In fact, according to ESPN, Real Madrid does not yet know what to do with the 21-year-old, and apparently, both Mourinho and Nico Paz have already spoken about his future.

The outlet states that the central midfielder feels comfortable at Como and would not mind staying there for one more year, especially given that the Italian club will play in the Champions League next year.

Given that Real Madrid cannot promise him a starting role, it is most likely he will not return, especially if we add Premier League club Arsenal to the list of interested parties.

Nothing is really confirmed; neither Real Madrid nor Como has confirmed it, so everything will be left in the hands of the Spanish club's board, even though the fans remain hopeful of seeing him again in the squad.

And in the meantime, Paz is preparing for his debut with Argentina at the World Cup, which begins next Tuesday.
