In other news, Real Madrid have reportedly beaten Barcelona and Atletico Madrid to the signing of Racing de Santander midfielder Sergio Martinez.
Martinez, 19, is now on the verge of signing with Real Madrid for a reported amount of 3 million euros, according to Fabrizio Romano.
“Martínez will join Real immediately, no loan to Racing; contract until 2030, deal worth €3m," Romano wrote on his Twiter (X) account.
According to Spanish outlet AS, Martínez will first join Real Madrid Castilla. Then, the youngster is expected to be gradually integrated into the first-team environment under the guidance of José Mourinho.
