AS Monaco has reportedly convinced PSG midfielder Aymen Assab to join them after his excellent UEFA Youth League campaign.

An important member of PSG's UEFA Youth League journey, Aymen Assab has been courted by AS Monaco. The young Parisian is close to signing with the Principality club, according to AfricaFoot. As a reminder, he will be a free agent this summer, with his contract expiring next June.

Paris Saint-Germain risks another exodus of its 'titis' [academy players] this summer. Despite the beautiful epic in the Youth League, eliminated in the semifinal by Real Madrid on penalties, the majority of the squad is on its way out this summer.

According to L'Equipe, more than half of this U19 squad will not be retained. Among them is Assab, 17. Courted by many clubs, the young midfielder will sign with AS Monaco, according to Africa Foot.

The Principality club managed to convince the young player from Clichy. "The princely club plans a gradual integration of the player into the professional group starting from summer preparation, with a gradual rise in power," the cited outlet reports.

For his part, the player refused to sign his first professional contract with the club in the French capital. The European champion offered an internship contract to the young titi a few weeks ago, according to L'Equipe.

The reasons cited are the lack of playing time and the density of Luis Enrique's squad in this position. The capital club did not provide sufficient sporting guarantees to keep him.

This season, Assab played five Youth League matches for two assists. The young midfielder also stood out in the Coupe Gambardella, with 100% of the minutes played and one goal to his name. Trained at Villejuif, the Clichy native joined the Paris Saint-Germain academy in the summer of 2021. Now he is preparing to embark on a new adventure in Monaco.
