Barcelona is interested in PSG striker Goncalo Ramos as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski, according to reports.
PSG plans to make changes to its squad ahead of next season, and one position expected to see changes is the attack. According to reports, Goncalo Ramos could leave Paris, and FC Barcelona is one of the interested teams.
Head coach Luis Enrique has prioritized a mobile attack line and generally prefers a profile more akin to a winger than a center forward to line up as a 'false 9,' allowing him to field an attacking trident capable of moving across all offensive zones.
This has affected Ramos, 24, who, although less mobile, remains a very good level center forward. It is in this context that Barcelona appears as a likely destination.
As TEAMtalk indicates, in Catalonia, they are closely watching the dilemma Ramos is facing at PSG. A striker who is considering a change of scenery due to lack of minutes, which could turn him into one of the names to watch in the transfer window.
"Hunting for Robert Lewandowski's replacement in their offensive line, Barcelona is studying candidates that fit into their plans. Now, the path leading to Ramos, a striker who wears the colors of PSG, is emerging," added Foot Mercato in its Spanish version.
Barcelona was close to beating Atletico Madrid in both the Copa del Rey and the Champions League. However, they lost both times, even though they have practically secured the La Liga title.
Regarding signings, Deco, the sporting director of the Spanish Super Cup champion, is working on securing a replacement for Lewandowski. The number one target appears to be Julian Alvarez, who is a determining factor for Atletico. And for that very reason, more options stand out on the Catalan radar.
Ramos bursts onto the scene as an interesting alternative to bolster the performance of the forward line of Hansi Flick's Barcelona squad. That said, at this moment, only the mere interest of the Catalans in the Portuguese footballer has been disclosed. A PSG striker who could be the summer "surprise" for the Blaugrana.
