The vast majority of French fans believe PSG can beat Bayern Munich, according to recent polls.
PSG-Bayern is seen as the Champions League final. A top-tier clash that does not scare the French public, the vast majority of which sees the Parisians winning.
Without disrespecting Chelsea and Liverpool, the serious business begins for Paris Saint-Germain next week. The Parisians face Bayern Munich in the Champions League semifinal.
After two ailing English clubs, a German team at the peak of its form now stands before them. The Bavarians are a true goal-scoring machine this season with a lethal Harry Kane and an unstoppable Michael Olise.
On top of that, Manuel Neuer is once again unbreachable in goal. PSG will have to be very strong to reach a second consecutive Champions League final.
Nevertheless, the French are not at all afraid of the German ogre. This is revealed by a recent poll published by Odoxa for Winamax and RTL.
65% of soccer fans surveyed see PSG getting past Bayern Munich. This confidence is significantly higher than that recorded at the same time last year. 61% of respondents then saw Paris beating Arsenal.
For this PSG-Bayern, the confidence of Parisian fans is even greater than that of the general public.
81% of Parisian fans surveyed believe that their club will play in the final in Budapest at the end of May. Record numbers that are not explained by contempt for Bayern but by massive support for Luis Enrique's playing project.
69% of soccer fans surveyed believe that the Spanish coach is better than his counterpart, Vincent Kompany. Reading these results, Canal+ can rub its hands. As the exclusive broadcaster of the Champions League, the encrypted channel expects to achieve huge audiences with such enthusiasm.
