Several young PSG talents face uncertain futures as clubs circle.
Brilliant with PSG's U-19 side in the National league as well as in the Youth League, young attacking midfielder Mathis Jangeal is heading toward a departure. His entourage has turned down the offer submitted by Luis Campos.
With 14 goals and nine assists across all competitions since the start of the season, Mathis Jangeal is shining in Paris Saint-Germain colors. At just 17 years old, the attacking midfielder stands above the rest, whether in the U-19 National league, the Gambardella Cup, or the Youth League.
Used once in Ligue 1 by Luis Enrique, the Longjumeau native is part of PSG's plans for the future. Proof of that: Luis Campos submitted a first professional contract offer to him, as L'Equipe reports in today's edition. Nevertheless, the prospect of seeing Mathis Jangeal shine at Paris Saint-Germain for several years is fading.
According to journalists Loic Tanzi and Hugo Delom, well-informed on this matter for the national daily, the 17-year-old attacking midfielder has decided to leave his academy club.
Courted in Germany by several Bundesliga clubs, he has decided not to commit to PSG and will quickly choose his next club. A blow for the Parisian academy, which loses here the most promising player of its 2008 generation.
Another gem from the capital club is also heavily sought after: Adam Ayari. The right winger has stunning numbers, with 18 goals and 10 assists across all competitions this season.
He has not yet signed a professional contract with PSG, and he is attracting plenty of interest. Ajax Amsterdam is among the clubs looking to sign him. In his situation, no final decision has yet been made by his entourage. Finally, young Parisian defender Emmanuel Mbemba has received an offer from Paris FC, while Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen are also interested.
Suffice it to say that PSG's academy products have enormous value on the transfer market. Luis Campos, Luis Enrique, and Nasser Al-Khelaifi will need to redouble their efforts to convince them to stay at the reigning European champion despite fierce competition for every position.
