Arsenal receives very bad news ahead of the Champions League final vs. PSG. Ben White is ruled out for the season with a knee ligament injury.

Injured during Arsenal's last trip to West Ham, Ben White is not expected to play again before the end of the season. A boost for PSG ahead of the Champions League final against Arsenal.

Mainly used in rotation by Mikel Arteta this season, White remained a particularly reliable player, having played almost the entirety of the two-legged semifinal against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Starting for the fifth consecutive time (a first in five months) at West Ham, the British right back had to leave his teammates just before the half-hour mark, hit in the right knee after a collision.

And what was feared for him and Arsenal has finally arrived: the diagnosis indicates that White will not be able to play again before the end of the season because the ligaments in his knee are damaged, The Athletic reported. His return is hoped for for the World Cup with England.

As the saying goes, one man's misfortune is another man's fortune. This relatively significant absence on the Gunners' side is one less thorn for Luis Enrique and PSG. Just 18 days before the Champions League final in Budapest, the defending champion can count on a major handicap for the Londoners, who will also suffer from it in the Premier League title race.

White started both legs of the semifinal against Atletico Madrid, playing 86 and 90 minutes, respectively. This season, the defender has made 30 appearances, scored 1 goal, and recorded 2 assists.

In the Champions League, he had 11 appearances, while in the Premier League he added 12.
