Paris Saint-Germain could let Kang-In Lee leave this summer as Atletico Madrid shows strong interest in the midfielder.
Apparently, the future of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Kang-In Lee is at stake after interest from the Spanish club, Atletico Madrid.
In this new summer market window, the Rouge et Bleu could let go of one of their important players after recent interest in Atletico's Argentine, Julian Alvarez.
According to Diario AS, PSG considers signing Alvarez a priority, since they have enough money and have players who could interest Atletico.
The imminent departure of Antoine Griezmann is now a reality, so the Colchoneros are looking for a replacement as soon as possible.
The same outlet reports that in January of this year, Mateu Alemany, the director of Professional Men's Soccer at Atletico Madrid, was in Paris to discuss Lee.
Obviously, the agreements came to nothing in the past winter market, because Luis Enrique considered him a key piece for the team.
Now the situation seems to be turning around, as it is rumored that the South Korean could leave this summer.
With a contract until 2028, Lee has been relegated to a less important role in terms of being a regular starter with Paris Saint-Germain, so his departure could be certain.
Atletico Madrid not only considers Kang-In Lee a possible signing but also his teammate, Goncalo Ramos, who reportedly also appeals to the club's management.
The newspaper L'Equipe has also stated that Atletico Madrid is not beating around the bush and is the club fighting the hardest to sign Kang-in Lee, as Manchester City also seems to have him in its sights.
In Korea, the media have become somewhat wary of this news, as they label PSG's move a 'forced transfer' or even a 'betrayal' by coach Luis Enrique.
The 25-year-old player is very skilled and can also work as a forward, so perhaps his future lies with another team where he can get more playing time than he currently has.
Although we know that Lee has presence on the field and the ability to occupy attacking positions, it has not been enough to establish himself in the starting eleven.
Kang-In Lee has participated in 42 matches this 2025/26 season and has contributed 5 goals and 4 assists.
