As per reliable media reports on Tuesday morning, PSG are set to sign goalkeeper Zion Suzuki from Serie A side Parma during this summer transfer window.

With PSG kicking off their 26/27 season against Premier League side Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup tomorrow evening, the summer transfer market is really beginning to heat up, with Luis Enrique keen to get bodies in the door as quickly as possible.

In the last week or so, the club have moved to bring in winger Maghnes Akliouche of AS Monaco, as well as left-back Lucas Digne of Aston Villa, both players whom were a part of France's FIFA World Cup squad this summer.

Clearly, even more additions are needed, with quite a few departures this summer, such as Goncalo Ramos to AC Milan and Kang-in Lee to Atletico Madrid, whilst others such as Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye continued to be linked with moves away from the French capital.

Well, it looks like there will be at least one more incoming this summer. Indeed so, as Fabrizio Romano has used his "Here we Go" catchphrase for Zion Suzuki's move from Italian side Parma to PSG.

Now, the wording is interesting, implying that he will not be part of the first team next season, describing the deal as "for the future" and mentioning a potential loan deal, with Serie A side Juventus namechecked as a possible destination for the goalkeeper.

As it stands, Enrique has Matvey Safonov and Lucas Chevalier as his two goalkeepers. You can picture Safonov being a number 2, but it does not suit Chevalier at this stage of his career. Could it be possible that Safonov and Suzuki are the two goalkeepers next season, whilst Chevalier goes on loan to play?

It feels a bit surprising that a club as big as Juventus would be willing to aid the development of another team's goalkeeper, but if it could benefit them too - at least in the short term - then perhaps it could be beneficial.

Let's see. As for Suzuki, he is clearly a very talented goalkeeper, and impressed with Japan at the World Cup. The dynamic of having goalkeepers aged 23 and 24 at the club would be interesting, even if one spends the forthcoming season out on loan. It's quite rare to see such a case, considering it is essentially impossible for it to work out for both at the club short, medium or long term.

Anyway, exciting move overall. Let's hope it is not the final signing of this summer transfer window.
