With the first round of knockout games at this summer's FIFA World Cup in North America now upon us, here are how things look for the PSG players in action.
Later on today, not even 24 hours after the conclusion of the group stages, the round of 32 at this summer's FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico will get underway. With it, there will be plenty of action for PSG stars over the next few days, let's take a look at how it is all shaping up.
To begin, Marquinhos and his Brazil side - who pipped Morocco to the top of the group on goal difference - will face Japan in Houston at 19:00 CET on Monday. That promises to be an exciting game.
Then, in the early hours - at 03:00, Achraf Hakimi's Morocco - who as mentioned above finished second in their group - will take on The Netherlands in Monterrey. That is a very balanced tie.
On Tuesday night - at 23:00 - the French mafia, fresh off winning all three group games for the first time since 1998, of Lucas Hernandez, Warren Zaire-Emery, Bradley Barcola, Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele are in action against Sweden in New Jersey. That feels like one of the more lopsided games, truth be told.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday at 22:00, Ibrahim Mbaye and Senegal will take on Belgium in Seattle. They finished eighth of the eight third placed teams that advance to the knockouts, so it was a really close shave. Had they only beaten Iraq by a couple of goals, they would have been eliminated.
Elsewhere, on Thursday Fabian Ruiz and Spain - who won their group with seven points - will take on Austria at 21:00 at the SoFi stadium in Inglewood. Since the first game, Ruiz has been reduced to a substitute role, but did create a big chance in the 1-0 win over Uruguay last time out.
Then, hours after that, at 01:00 on Friday, there is action in Toronto for the Portuguese mafia of Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Joao Neves and Goncalo Ramos - albeit the latter may have completed his move to AC Milan by then. Having only finished second in their group behind Colombia, they will come up against Croatia in their showdown.
So, there we have it, the full round of 32 slate for every PSG player involved. Kang-in Lee's South Korea only finished 10th in the third placed table, so they have been eliminated after a disappointing campaign. Similarly to Ramos and Milan, he may have moved to Atletico Madrid by the time the knockouts begin in any case.
