FC Barcelona coach Hansi Flick praised PSG's performance after their 4-2 Champions League group-stage loss.

This Tuesday, two great teams from Europe faced each other in the UEFA Champions League: Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona (4-2). Although Barcelona fell short, its coach recognized the rival's greatness.

The match was tense; both teams performed very well for more than 90 minutes. It was a physically demanding match for both, leaving the fan base on edge.

And although the Cules had the highest percentage of possession and presence throughout the match, the Parisians managed to impose themselves, as is usually the case after any poor positioning by the opponent.

That is why, in post-match interviews, coach Hansi Flick acknowledged the noble work Paris Saint-Germain achieved. The German reflected on both teams, assuring that despite their defeat, they learned from their mistakes, which is why he is proud of his players.

"We have lost, but we have learned. Mistakes happen. But what we've done in recent weeks has been fantastic. Today was not easy; the players ran a lot and tried to play. The recovery after Sevilla was not the best. It is not an excuse. We have to learn," Flick began explaining.

About PSG, the 61-year-old coach admitted that in the final minutes of the match, his players were not fresh, making it difficult for them to recover and score more goals.

"I think against City, PSG also scored many goals. In the end, in the last 10 minutes, the team dropped off and scored the fourth goal against us. But I have seen very good things. We have potential. I am not negative. It has been a good experience. We have to do better," he assured.

Flick also praised the quality of Rouge et Bleu's play, noting that, in his view, they excel in transition; although they tried to defend in those moments, they could not stop the Parisian club.

FC Barcelona was coming off an unbeaten streak at the start of the season, but their loss to PSG does not diminish their greatness; they remain one of the best teams in the world and are still crowned first in the La Liga standings.

For now, both teams will have to recover their strength for upcoming Champions League and league commitments, as both have suffered injuries to key players.
