AC Milan are set to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Goncalo Ramos for €70M, becoming the most expensive signing in the Italian club's history.

The summer transfer market has not yet begun, but even so, Serie A teams are already pulling the strings to reinforce their squads, and AC Milan is no exception, as it will sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Goncalo Ramos.

Milan had been circling the Portuguese player for weeks, and after days of uncertainty, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed what Parisian fans had already seen coming.

Ramos, 25, will officially be the most expensive signing AC Milan has ever made, surpassing the amount that the Italian club had paid for forward Rafael Leao at the time.

PSG will receive around €70M for Goncalo's signing, a figure confirmed by both Fabrizio Romano and journalist Ben Jacobs, a price that, by the way, is almost the same as the fee at which he was bought from Benfica.

Ramos' trajectory with the Rouge et Bleu was consistently good, especially in the 2024/2025 season, as he scored 18 goals and 6 assists, compared to this past season, when he recorded 13 goals and only 1 assist.

Despite his good statistics, he never achieved a regular starting status due to the high competition within the club at that position, and because he plays very well as a classic No. 9, a style of play that coach Luis Enrique does not usually use.

Ramos did not fit too well into Luis Enrique's ideal prototype. Once Ousmane Dembele began to take more freedom in the center by exchanging positions, the role of the Portuguese forward was relegated, and his capabilities could not be fully exploited, as the coach himself said.

Now, as a new signing for AC Milan, he will be able to cover the deficiencies that the club has been dragging for some time. Ramos' ability to open up the way for the wingers could give them more freedom to attack spaces, always taking care to work in harmony with him, because he usually does not generate many plays by himself; he needs the team to cooperate.

According to Romano's continued reporting, the young player has already completed the necessary medical process with the Italian club, and his contract will be for five years.

And although many Rossoneri fans disagree with PSG's high price for Ramos, the signing has already been finalized.

Ruben Amorim, the new coach of AC Milan, will now have Ramos under his command, and after personally requesting the forward to reinforce the squad for next season, he will finally be able to address that weak point that was so criticized last season.
