PSG are handed a double boost ahead of the Strasbourg and Barcelona games: Senny Mayulu is close to returning, and Warren Zaïre-Emery is fit.

PSG released a new medical report Friday, the day before their trip to Strasbourg and almost a week before facing Barcelona in the Champions League. The good news is that only two names appear, including Senny Mayulu, who is close to returning. Warren Zaïre-Emery is not injured, which is another boost.

Luis Enrique will have an almost full squad for Strasbourg vs. PSG on Saturday, so he'll still have to leave players at home, as he can name only 20 players on his Ligue 1 match sheet. On Friday, PSG released its traditional pre-match medical report, and only two names appear.

Young Italian goalkeeper Alessandro Longoni has resumed individual training, but the club has not given further details on the injury that has kept him off the field in recent weeks. Senny Mayulu, who suffered a left thigh injury in late September with France's under-21 team and was expected to be out for a month, returned to collective training on Friday, which is good news.

Mayulu will not be available on Saturday in Strasbourg, but his return is approaching, and his injury now seems like a distant memory. He still needs to earn a place in Luis Enrique's squad in the coming weeks, having played only 67 minutes for PSG this season before his injury.

His presence at collective training on Friday is good news, as is Warren Zaïre-Emery's absence from the day's medical report. After suffering a minor left thigh injury in Marseille on Sept. 20, Zaïre-Emery recovered during the international break, played 32 minutes against Le Mans last Saturday, and then 84 minutes on Wednesday against Manchester City.

But the French international complained of pain several minutes before giving way to Lucas Beraldo in the 84th minute. If PSG does not comment on his health, it is because he is not injured, and what happened at the Etihad was probably cramps or severe fatigue. Zaïre-Emery is therefore fit for Strasbourg vs. PSG, although it remains to be seen whether he will take part in this Matchday 7 Ligue 1 game, pending the announcement of Luis Enrique's squad.

PSG's predicted starting XI vs. Strasbourg: Safonov; Hakimi (c), Zabarnyi, Pacho (or Hernandez), Digne; Neves, Beraldo, Dro; Kvaratskhelia, Torres, Godts.
