PSG lead the Champions League standings after their 4-2 win over Barcelona, with 9 points and a +9 goal difference. Here's the full breakdown.

Buoyed by three wins in as many Champions League matches this season, PSG sits atop the league phase standings, level on points with four other teams, including Aston Villa, which nearly overtook them Wednesday.

As was the case after the first Matchday and its 6-1 win over Slovan Bratislava, and after its 4-2 win against Manchester City, PSG remains top of the Champions League league phase the day after the end of the third Matchday and Wednesday night's results.

On Tuesday, PSG beat Barça 4-2 and now has 9 of 9 possible points, with a +9 goal difference. On Tuesday night, Liverpool beat Villarreal 4-3 (PSG's next Champions League opponent on Nov. 3) and secured its third straight Champions League win, but its goal difference is only +5. Three other clubs also secured a third straight win Wednesday night, starting with Kylian Mbappé's Real Madrid, which won 4-1 against RB Leipzig.

Real Betis won 1-0 against Feyenoord Rotterdam from another Isco penalty, while Aston Villa won 3-1 against Viking Stavanger on Wednesday night and also has 9 points, with the same goal difference as PSG: +9.

But PSG has scored 14 goals since the start of the competition, compared to 12 for Unai Emery's Villans, which explains its first-place finish. The English club led the standings for a few minutes Wednesday night, taking a 3-0 lead in the 62nd minute before conceding in the 84th.

Also worth noting, Arsenal drew with Bayern Munich (2-2) on Wednesday. The Gunners had won their first two matches before sharing the points with the Bavarians. Stuttgart also drew with Atlético Madrid (1-1) on Tuesday night and failed to reach three wins after winning its first two matches.

After three Matchdays, PSG sits atop the standings alongside four other teams and has beaten both its Pot 1 opponents, Manchester City and Barça.

While direct qualification for the Champions League round of 16 is well underway, caution is still warranted, as PSG also had 9 points after three Matchdays last season and ultimately finished 11th in the league phase with 14 points.
