PSG has another player out for Saturday's match against Troyes: Achraf Hakimi. The right-back will rest until the international break ends.
Paris Saint-Germain has faced an injury crisis among key players for a couple of weeks, but it hasn't stopped them from continuing their winning streak.
If anything Luis Enrique has demonstrated over the last few years, it is that he has a backup squad just as well trained as the starters; if one is missing, they compensate for the other's absence with frightening synchrony.
That is why, with Marquinhos, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes, and Ousmane Dembele out due to injuries, the club has been able to keep moving forward.
PSG will face ESTAC Troyes on Saturday this week in Ligue 1 before the club suspends its fixtures for the international break.
Unfortunately, PSG's right-back, Achraf Hakimi, will miss the match and will not play with his national team. On Friday, the club released an official statement announcing the news that the Moroccan was granted a rest period until the international break ends.
The fullback had been playing quite regularly and had a great performance against Le Havre (1-5) last week, a match in which he scored a hat trick, so Luis Enrique has opted to rest him for the important upcoming fixtures that lie ahead; the club cannot afford to have another player injured.
This move is not new; Luis Enrique has already granted this type of mini rest to other players this season. Nuno and Dembele also enjoyed these breaks recently, and although fans didn't take it very well, the coach came out to address it publicly.
For the club and for him, it is essential to take care of the players' physical health individually, and fans should get used to this type of rest because there will be more of it for the rest of the season.
"You have to get used to it, because this will be the norm this season," said Luis Enrique.
In addition, the Parisian board is not very worried about the negative comments regarding its decisions, since they have a backup squad quite capable of handling any match.
Hakimi will not be present to play against Troyes, but Warren Zaire-Emery and David Boly will, two players who have stood out and earned the trust of the Spanish coach.
According to L'Equipe, both Hermi M'Futila and Younes Idder were seen training with the first team, so we hope the absence of familiar faces is not felt too much and that the substitutes can shine on Saturday night.
