PSG beat Manchester City 4-2 in the Champions League, earning praise from British media for their dominant play and Luis Enrique's squad management.

Paris Saint-Germain faced Manchester City in a Champions League match (2-4) on Wednesday the 14th, and although it was a day ago, the match is still being discussed in the media.

The European press was totally impressed by PSG's level. Everyone truly believed the winner would be the great Premier League team.

Manchester City had everything to win. The team looked calm with 8 unbeaten league matches, while Paris Saint-Germain, although it had just won 4 matches in a row, struggled at the start of the season in Ligue 1, making it the less favorable team.

But the obstacles mattered little to the Parisians, who quickly opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a goal from Desire Doue. Later, Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha also scored in the first half.

In the end, the press was impressed by both teams' pace of play, and for good reason: they're among the best in Europe. British outlets such as The Guardian praised PSG's great effort on Wednesday, recognizing the high level at which the Parisians play.

"PSG bristled with their trademark assurance on the ball; the beautifully grooved combinations. It does not matter how tight the spaces are. They back themselves to get out of them. Witness the opening goal and a scintillating piece of team play that began deep on the right-hand side of their defensive third."

BBC Sport also put in its two cents, commenting on Luis Enrique's mental ability to manage each player's minutes so meticulously, which gives them a great chance to win the Champions League again.

"This is the blueprint to win the Champions League, you make sure that when it gets to the stage where they are running into the other number one seeds, into the Premier League teams, they're all fresh," they assured.

If there is one thing we can be sure of, it is that this type of match is shocking, keeping us glued to the couch. Although Manchester City played a very good second half, they could have done a little more, and they deserved it; PSG imposed itself on one of Europe's great teams in a very honorable way.
