With this drawn out international break now over three weeks later, we use the moment to reflect on this unprecedented break, and discuss the fortunes or otherwise of the PSG stars in action.
This never seen before extended international break of four games rather than two has finally come to an end, and PSG will be back in action this weekend, taking on newly promoted side Le Mans at home.
So, what better time than now to recap how the international break went for all Parisians? Let's take a look.
To begin, Matvey Safonov played the full 90 minutes for Russia, in their 2-0 friendly win at home to Iran.
Meanwhile, Ilyz Zabarnyi played three full 90's and was an unused sub in the other game for Ukraine as their UEFA Nations League campaign got underway. They picked up four points from their games, and sit in third place in the group.
Staying in defence, Willian Pacho featured in three friendlies for Ecuador, playing the full 90 twice, and coming on to play 26 minutes in the over game.
Left-back Nuno Mendes started all four Nations League games for Portugal, playing all but 12 minutes across the games, providing two assists. Vitinha started three games and came on in the other, and scored in a 4-2 win over Denmark. Joao Neves started once, came on twice, and was an unused sub in the other game.
Portugal won all four group games, securing their place in the quarter-finals in March. They have a 99.99% chance of winning the group too, meaning they are set to play a group runner up and have the second leg at home.
The skipper Marquinhos played 90 minutes in Brazil's first friendly against Australia, before then being an unused sub in the second showdown. He then played an hour of their clash with India.
Right-back Achraf Hakimi played 21 minutes off the bench for Morocco in their 2-0 AFCON qualifier away to Lesotho. He was then an unused sub in a 1-1 friendly draw with Mali. Compared to a lot of his PSG team mates, he is quite well rested.
Fabian Ruiz started Spain's opening two games, a 3-2 win away to England and a 4-1 win at home to Croatia. He missed the next two games because his wife gave birth to their child. Congratulations!
Ferran Torres started the opener with England, and was then an unused sub against Croatia, before pulling out with an injury. Like with Portugal, Spain won all four games and secured their place in the quarter-finals. If they avoid defeat to England in Madrid, they will win the group.
Time for the French mafia. Desire Doue started twice and came on twice for France in their Nations League campaign. His best performance came during one of his cameos, last time out against Belgium, where he scored and provided two fantastic assists off the bench in just 18 minutes.
Meanwhile, Ousmane Dembele started three games and came on in the other game, but was not able to register a goal or an assist. Maghnes Akliouche started twice and was an unused sub twice. France top their group with 10 points from four games.
In the same group, Mika Godts started three times and came on once for Belgium, scoring in a 2-0 win away to Italy in their opening game. The Belgians are third in the group with six points from their four games.
To finish things off, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia started all four games for Georgia, in the same group as Ukraine, but it was a very disappointing campaign. His side only picked up two points from their four games, sitting bottom of the group, and the PSG number seven missed a penalty at 0-0 in their first clash with Northern Ireland, a game they would lose 1-0 in stoppage time.
