Khvicha Kvaratskhelia shone with two goals as PSG dominated Nantes 3-0. Here are the individual Parisian player ratings.
PSG hosted FC Nantes at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday for Matchday 26 of Ligue 1, a match that had been postponed.
The Parisians won 3-0, with a goal from Desire Doue and a brace from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Head coach Luis Enrique decided to field a competitive eleven from the start, and the home side's dominance was overwhelming.
While this victory is vital for the Parisians to stay away (by four points) from Lens, Nantes remains in the relegation zone with only 20 points earned after 30 games. Here are the individual grades for the Paris Saint-Germain players.
PSG vs. Nantes - Player Ratings: Goalkeeper
5 - Matvey Safonov: Very little tested to highlight him. He recorded two saves. Neutral rating.
PSG vs. Nantes - Player Ratings: Defenders
6 - Achraf Hakimi: His heat map clearly shows his position as a right wing-back, but at times, he appeared as an interior midfielder and even as a central forward. Another match in which he understands space occupation well, and on top of that, he provided an assist.
4 - Illia Zabarnyi: There is little to highlight about him because PSG had the ball for almost the entire match. Some good defensive contributions, but he lost the only ground duel he was involved in and was shown a yellow card.
5 - Marquinhos: He provided security from the back, but he was more involved in the transition game than in defensive duties. A couple of good deep passes.
6 - Lucas Beraldo: We place him in the defenders section only for the sake of order, but he played as a midfielder. The Brazilian created at least three dangerous chances and added multiple defensive contributions from the center of the field. He won half of the duels he was involved in and recorded 91 percent passing accuracy. More than decent performance.
PSG vs. Nantes - Player Ratings: Midfielders
5 - Warren Zaire-Emery: He played as a left back. He was not erratic, but he did not shine either. 96 percent passing accuracy, 86 touches of the ball, three passes into the final third. Not bad.
4 - Joao Neves: He did not generate the impact one might expect from a player of his level. Little to say about him in attack, and the same in defense.
5 - Dro: Energetic throughout the game. Some good flashes, but little else to say.
PSG vs. Nantes - Player Ratings: Forwards
8 - Khvicha Kvaratskhelia: Three shots on goal, two goals. The Georgian now has six goal contributions (four goals, two assists) in his last five matches. Another good performance.
6 - Ousmane Dembele: He did not have his best match, but he was not a burden by any means. The French winger contributed with an assist and created at least three dangerous chances.
5 - Desire Doue: He improved in his decision-making compared to the last match against Lyon, and he scored a great goal. Like Hakimi, the Frenchman appeared across multiple areas of the field.
