Vinicius Jr.'s contract standoff sparks interest from top clubs. PSG is now alerted as a star's decisive call on his future.
Vinicius Jr. has still not extended his contract with Real Madrid, which runs through June 2027. Given this situation, several clubs have reportedly already been sounded out, including PSG.
Real Madrid has likely said goodbye to the La Liga title after its defeat on Saturday on the road at Mallorca. Alvaro Arbeloa's men retain a strong chance of success in the Champions League, however.
The Spanish manager will need all of his key players at their best, and Vinicius Jr. is among them. The Brazilian, currently in top form, will need to lead the way for a somewhat inconsistent Real Madrid. After that, it will be time for the former Flamengo man to make a decisive call on his future. And there is plenty to discuss.
Vinicius Jr. is under contract with Real Madrid through June 2027 but has been unable to reach an agreement with the club's leadership on an extension, putting everyone in an uncomfortable position. The fear is a departure as early as this summer or, at worst, in a year's time as a free agent.
According to the latest information from TeamTalk, intermediaries have recently contacted the major Premier League clubs -- Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea -- regarding Vinicius Jr.'s possible availability this summer.
To extend at Madrid, the Brazilian is demanding a salary similar to Kylian Mbappe's, around 570,000 euros per week. It is not certain that Real Madrid will accept this demand. The outlet notes that the Spanish club recently made its final offer to Vinicius Jr.'s camp, which will not be improved upon.
In addition to the English clubs, Bayern Munich and PSG have also been informed of the situation. It remains to be seen whether the French capital club will go further in an attempt to sign Vinicius Jr.
This saga is sure to generate plenty more discussion. Vinicius Jr. prefers to stay in Madrid, but his contractual situation leaves him vulnerable. The coming months will be decisive in determining the outcome of this story -- whether positive or negative.
