A brilliant Brazilian teenager sparks a bidding war between PSG and Liverpool, with a €20 million offer on the table and Palmeiras demanding double.
PSG already has ideas in mind for strengthening the squad during the summer transfer window. Erick Bele's profile is particularly appealing to the reigning European champions.
Luis Enrique's Paris Saint-Germain is always on the lookout for opportunities during transfer windows. Next summer, the capital club is expected to be particularly active. In midfield, PSG could make moves to further rejuvenate that area of the pitch.
In Brazil, several profiles are being studied, among them Erick Bele's. The 19-year-old Palmeiras player has caught the eye of both Luis Enrique and the leadership of the Parc des Princes club.
Bele, a New Gem in Luis Enrique's PSG?
According to the latest information from ESPN (h/t Tribuna), PSG is even prepared to submit a 20 million euro offer to the Brazilian club for the services of Bele -- an elegant attacking midfielder with excellent vision.
However, the Sao Paulo club would reportedly demand double that amount to consider letting their gem leave. In an effort to keep him, Palmeiras would also like to promise Bele more first-team playing time.
In addition to Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool is also in the running for the Flores da Cunha native. Since the start of the year, Bele has recorded six goals and one assist in 12 matches across all competitions, split between Palmeiras' first team and their under-20 side.
His current contract with the club runs through the end of 2028. The player is expected to take his time evaluating the available options. Liverpool's and PSG's pitches could prove compelling, especially since many young Brazilian players dream of a career in Europe. But the asking price could dampen interest among the clubs involved.
