Kees Smit will be spoiled for choice this summer. The AZ Alkmaar midfielder has many suitors, notably FC Barcelona, Manchester United, and PSG.

When it comes to promising youngsters, Paris Saint-Germain is never very far away. This category of players is now the Parisians' priority.

After signing Spaniard Dro Fernandez, snatched from FC Barcelona this winter, the capital club intends to build on its momentum during the summer transfer window.

Several names are mentioned in the news about the European champion, including Smit, 20. The AZ Alkmaar midfielder is one of the season's great revelations. It is no coincidence that the Dutchman received his first call-up with the Netherlands last March.

Praised for his technical finesse, his game intelligence, and his ability to control the rhythm of a match, Smit is considered one of the best young players in his country.

And his compatriots are not the only ones impressed. Abroad as well, the midfielder's qualities are highly appreciated.

Besides Paris Saint-Germain, the outlet CaughtOffside also cites Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund, and FC Barcelona, to whom national team coach Ronald Koeman recently advised on signing Smit.

"He is a great talent who still has to learn, but yes, he is a player for Barca," the Netherlands coach said. "He can be a mix between De Jong and Pedri. No one in the Netherlands can pay the amount to keep him."

Indeed, AZ Alkmaar hopes to fill its pockets thanks to its player under contract until 2028. There is talk of a price between €60 million and €80 million for the Dutch international, who does not hide his desire to take a step forward next season.
