Senny Mayulu is sidelined for two weeks, according to the most recent medical update from PSG.
Injured in the right calf during the Nice vs. PSG (0-4), Senny Mayulu will be absent for two weeks, according to the club’s medical update released Sunday. A short-term absence that will mainly hurt the France Under-21 team but not PSG much.
Substituted before halftime on the pitch in Nice on Saturday evening during PSG’s big win (4-0), Senny Mayulu is suffering from “a lesion in the right calf” as PSG announced in a postgame medical update.
As a result of this minor injury, “Senny Mayulu will remain in treatment for the next two weeks” and will therefore not join the France Under-21 team for which he was called up. On the other hand, he can hope to return to the field as soon as the break ends, for PSG vs. Liverpool on Wednesday, April 8, or even PSG vs. Toulouse on Friday, the 3rd.
While the news about Mayulu is mixed, it is worth noting that Lee Kang-in is absent from this postgame medical update.
The South Korean had to leave the field a few minutes after the horrific tackle suffered on the back of his leg that resulted in a red card for Youssouf Ndayishimiye, and Luis Enrique had explained that it would be necessary to wait until Sunday to find out more, with possible tests.
His absence from the medical update seems to indicate that he is fine and will be able to join his national team. For once, South Korea will play in Europe during this break, sparing him a trip that would be too long.
Seen late in the game with an ice pack on his knee after being substituted, Nuno Mendes also appears to be doing rather well and will join the Portuguese national team with his compatriots Vitinha, Neves, and Ramos.
