Attracted by promising young talents, PSG has a soft spot for Swiss player Johan Manzambi. But the European champion has competition as Real Madrid and FC Barcelona join the long list of reported suitors for the Freiburg midfielder.

Everyone now knows Paris Saint-Germain's policy. Long known for its tendency to stack stars, the capital club now bets on promising youngsters. It is within the framework of this strategy that the Parisians notably recruited Spanish midfielder Dro Fernandez, snatched from FC Barcelona this winter.

The European champion will therefore continue on its momentum during the next summer transfer window. As indicated over recent weeks, PSG is keen on Manzambi, 20.

The midfielder is shining under the Freiburg jersey and boasts an enormous rating on the transfer market. Like Paris Saint-Germain, many other clubs are cited among his admirers.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Napoli, and especially Bayern Munich were part of the list to which the two Liga giants must now be added. Journalist Ekrem Konur indeed announces Real Madrid and FC Barcelona in the race.

With these two additional competitors, the situation is no longer quite the same. Barca does not have the financial capabilities of Paris Saint-Germain. But the two Spanish rivals possess great pulling power and make most players dream.

The Parisian leadership will therefore have to be convincing to the Swiss international, accustomed to playing match after match, who will be sensitive to the role offered in the squad of his future team. For its part, Freiburg could be tempted with an offer around €35 million, the estimated value of its player under contract until 2030.
