PSG overcame a tenacious Nice side with clinical finishing, reclaiming the top spot despite a red card.

As part of the 27th round of Ligue 1, PSG traveled to Nice to face OGC Nice, and the Parisians secured a convincing win over a tenacious, even violent, Nice side.

It cost them a penalty, converted by Nuno Mendes just before halftime, then Youssouf was sent off (60'). Doue had already doubled the lead (49'), but PSG cruised with two other goals from Dro and Zaïre-Emery. PSG regained first place and concluded their week on the road with another convincing victory.

PSG kicked off, but the first attack came from Nice and was collected by Safonov (1'). Nice played in a compact block, though not particularly deep (3'). Paris controlled possession but struggled to find any space (5'). Doue was found inside the box, he laid it back to Zaïre-Emery, who controlled and shot, earning the first corner, but it came to nothing (9'). Doue managed to find Kvara inside the box on the angle, he shot with his left, but Diouf won his duel in two saves (12').

On a transition ball, Sanson ran toward the goal, and Mayulu caught him illegally, receiving the first yellow card (16'). Clauss took a well-struck free kick from distance, but Youssouf was just short at the far post (17'). On a quick play, Nuno Mendes sent Kvara in behind. He dribbled past Dante, then challenged Diouf, who deflected it with his toe just as the goal seemed imminent (20'). On the corner, Pacho was literally punched by Youssouf, but the referee said nothing.

A long free kick from Vitinha was well headed by Zabarnyi, and Diouf made another save to concede a corner (22'). The Nice players committed numerous fouls, and Youssouf smashed Doue's ankle, not even receiving a yellow card (25'). A sliding tackle from Zaïre-Emery, intercepted by Zabarnyi, gave Nice their first corner, but it was cleared (30'). Nice suddenly pushed forward and, after a shot from Sanson that was easily saved, Hernandez had to concede a corner (32'). Dante connected from a high ball, but it was too far across the goal (33'). On the play, Nice's captain struck Kvara's temple, leaving him on the ground. The Georgian was dazed but was able to continue.

On a quick attack, Clauss found Wahi inside the box, but the attacker mishandled it in a good position, and Safonov was able to intervene (36'). PSG came close to opening the scoring: Vitinha played a perfect through ball to Doue, he laid it off for Kvara, who headed it alone from the penalty spot, but Bah made an incredible goal-line save (37'). On the ensuing corner, Doue took it, and the ball slightly touched Sanson's hand (38'). The referee was called by VAR and went to review the call. The penalty was awarded (40'). Nuno Mendes took the ball and stepped up to face Diouf, executing a perfectly placed shot across the goal (42', 0-1).

Immediately after, Mayulu had to be replaced by Beraldo due to a calf issue (43'). On a long free kick played into the box, Youssouf again came close to connecting with a header but could not reach it (45'+2). On a final cross from Clauss, Bard was able to get a header, but it missed the target (45'+3), and then halftime was called. The second half resumed without changes but at a slower tempo. Paris broke through early: Nuno Mendes combined with Kvara on the left, who played him in behind, he drove forward, then passed to Doue alone in the box, who controlled and fired past Diouf (0-2, 49').

Nice attempted to respond, but Wahi's cross was cleared in two stages (54'). Nice tried to fight back, but another massive foul was committed on Lee by Youssouf, minutes after another on Doue (60'). Youssouf was logically sent off after a VAR review.

Paris came close to a third goal with a brilliant team move, with Nuno Mendes laying it off to Doue, driving toward the goal. He was face-to-face with the goalkeeper and shot straight at Diouf's face while Kvara was alone square for a pass (64'). Immediately after, Lee had to come off and received treatment on his ankle (65'). Paris continued to attack, but Doue was blocked inside the box in a good position (66'). PSG scored a superb third goal, but offside was called against Dembele on the buildup. It did not seem obvious at all in the replay, but VAR confirmed it (70').

On the following play, Kvara set up Doue with a clear chance; he executed a double touch, then shot wide while Dembele was alone next to him (71'). With fifteen minutes remaining, Luis Enrique substituted his star attackers (76'). On a nice switch from Vitinha, Zaïre-Emery was denied by Diouf, who came out well to block at his feet (79'). PSG logically scored the third goal: Dembele was found centrally by Vitinha, he laid it off to Dro, who dribbled past the defender, then found the side netting with a precise shot (0-3, 81').

PSG continued to attack: Dembele let a pass through for Beraldo, making a run, who crossed directly with his right foot, Clauss deflected it straight into the path of Zaïre-Emery, who scored from close range (0-4, 86').
