Four PSG stars are still injured. Here are their recovery progress and potential return dates.
While most Paris Saint-Germain players are still with their national teams or on their way back, four players trained at Campus PSG on Monday: Quentin Ndjantou, Bradley Barcola, Senny Mayulu, and Fabian Ruiz.
There was uncertainty on Monday about which PSG players would be present at the Campus for the day's closed-door training session announced by the club.
In a video shared on social media Monday evening, PSG answered that question by releasing footage of four players currently in the treatment room: Quentin Ndjantou, Bradley Barcola, Senny Mayulu, and Fabian Ruiz.
Ndjantou suffered a muscle injury on Dec. 20, 2025, against Fontenay in the Coupe de France and had resumed training in early February. However, following examinations to monitor his injury's progress, PSG's medical staff decided to perform surgery on his right hamstring. "His unavailability is estimated at several months," the club wrote Feb. 7.
Ndjantou and Barcola Working Indoors
In PSG's last medical update, published March 20 ahead of the 4-0 victory at Nice, it was noted that Ndjantou was continuing his treatment protocol. He can be seen in the video working indoors but not yet on the pitch -- similar to Bradley Barcola, who suffered a severe ligament sprain in his right ankle during the Champions League round-of-16 second leg against Chelsea on March 17.
PSG communicated Barcola's absence in terms of weeks without giving an exact number, but L'Equipe reported one month of unavailability, while Le Parisien estimated three to four weeks. Barcola will normally miss the Champions League quarterfinal first leg against Liverpool on April 8 and is very doubtful for the return leg on April 14.
Mayulu and Ruiz Touching the Ball
Two injured players appear to be close to rejoining the group, as they can be seen touching the ball in the club's video. They are Senny Mayulu and Fabian Ruiz. Mayulu suffered a right calf injury during the match at Nice on March 21 and was expected to remain in treatment for two weeks, according to PSG's medical update published the day after his injury.
Originally called up with the France under-21 team, Mayulu stayed in Poissy during the international break to recover and could well return for the match against Toulouse on Friday or at the latest against Liverpool on April 8. Fabian Ruiz has been out since Jan. 20, when he took a knock to his left knee against Sporting CP.
Just over two months after that injury -- which initially appeared minor -- the Spanish midfielder is finally close to a return, as he is also touching the ball at the Campus. RMC Sport had reported last week that Fabian Ruiz would return to group training after the international break, which now appears to be the case.
Since several PSG players will be playing Tuesday with their national teams -- or even into the early hours of Wednesday morning, in the case of the Portuguese players plus Marquinhos -- Luis Enrique will not be able to hold a full group session before Wednesday or even Thursday. The good news, however, is that Mayulu and Ruiz should in principle be part of it.
It is worth noting that Lucas Beraldo and Renato Marin, who were not called up during the international break, do not appear in the footage released by the club. That is understandable in Marin's case, as he played for PSG's reserve team on Monday afternoon, which lost 2-0 to Lens.
The five French players called up by Didier Deschamps, as well as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia -- all of whom played their last match of the international break Sunday -- also do not appear in the video shared by PSG and will likely return to training Wednesday.
